Group Tennis Lessons

Learning Together Makes Better Players

Group lessons are constructed with either 3 or 4 players.

Group lessons are excellent in engaging students to socialise and help each other improve and have a strong focus on ensuring players are constantly active even when the coach is tending to another player.

This is done by assigning fitness drills or a live-ball court and a hand-feed court.

Lessons run for 1 hour.

How our lessons work

Group lessons consist of drills with a coach, drills against each other, fitness, rallies, match-play and games.

The larger player-to-coach ratio allows for the collective improvement of players who can lift each other up.

Group lessons allow for individuals who want to see if tennis is a sport they wish to pursue further. It also allows for a higher rest rate and more focus on social interactions

COVID-19 Policy

The Ponds Tennis Academy operates within the bounds of the current NSW COVID-19 restrictions. We prioritise the safety of our coaches and students. Coaches wear masks when on the same side as the student to ensure safety. It is up to the student if they decide a mask is necessary for themselves during a lesson. If it is within restrictions to attend lessons, lessons will go ahead. In the case that you may be out of the radius of tennis courts, we consider this bounds for a credit for the following term’s invoice or a make-up lesson at a later date. If you are within restrictions but decide not to attend lessons, this is considered a cancellation (terms are described above). If you are diagnosed with COVID-19, lessons qualify as cancellations and will not be provided with a make-up.
